    Program Accredited by ABFSE:  Associate in Applied Science - Funeral Service

    Initial Accreditation 2000/Last comprehensive review 2021/Next comprehensive review 2028

      Re-accreditation:  October 2015 for period of seven (7) years with Focus Visit and Follow-up report to demonstrate use of assessment data for program improvement.
      Most recent Accreditation decisions:  April 2016 accept Focus Visit report and plans to use assessment data.
      -April 2020 - Program placed on Probation status for failure to maintain three-year average NBE pass rate of at least 60%.(Standard 10.4)
      -April 2021 - Program returned to good standing following demonstration of improved pass rate on the national licensing examination (NBE).
      -October 2021 - re-accredited with one (1) stipulation to demonstrate that faculty report directly or indirectly to the Program Director (Standard 1.7.2).
      -April 2022 - COA accepted the response to stipulation for Standard 1.7.2.
      An updated assessment plan is due by February 15, 2022.
      -October 2022 -In-person follow-up to Virtual Site Visit completed.
      -April 2024 - accepted application for review of distance education. Site visit to be scheduled.
