    Program Accredited by ABFSE:  Associate of Applied Science - Mortuary Science

    Initial Accreditation 2018/Last comprehensive review 2021/Next comprehensive review 2028
    Initial Accreditation granted:  April 2019 for period of three (3) years with no stipulations. (Three-year accreditation is based on date of last comprehensive review.)

      Re-accreditation: April 2022 Program reaccredited for period of seven (7) years.
      Most recent Accreditation decisions: Initial Accreditation approved during April 2019 meeting of COA effective to date of Candidacy approval in October 2018.
      -April 2022 -Program reaccredited for period of seven (7) years with requirement to submit an updated assessment plan by February 15, 2023. COA acknowledges the state-of-the-art facilities that support the program, diversity of the administration, opportunities for internal professional development and overall institutional support of the program.
      In person site visit is required as follow-up to 2021 virtual visit.
      -October 2022 –Follow-up visit completed.
      -April 2024 – Assessment plan updates must be provided by September 1, 2024.
      -October 2024 – updated assessment plan accepted.
