    Initial Accreditation 1946/Last comprehensive review 2024/Next comprehensive review 2031

      Re-accreditation:  October 2024 for period of seven (7) years with one stipulations.
      Most recent Accreditation decisions: April 2019 - accepted the Focus Visit report required following April 2018 approval to offer the accredited AAS degree program via distance education.
      -June 2024 - COA approved a change in the institutional mission statement and a curriculum change that establishes a uniform curriculum plan for all Pierce schools. COA is to receive copies of the communication explaining the changes that were shared with students.
      -October 2024 – required copies of communications received.
      Re-accreditation for period of seven (7) years with stipulation to provide evidence of consistent inspections of all sites where students embalm by March 1, 2025.

      Re-accreditation: April 2022 for period of seven (7) years (original accreditation extension granted during Covid-19 pandemic)
      Most recent Accreditation decisions: April 2019 accepted monitoring report for distance education courses required after Initial Accreditation.
      -April 2022 - Re-accreditation granted with stipulation to submit an updated assessment plan that incorporates Program Learning Outcomes as identified in Standard 2. Updated plan due February 2023.
      COA acknowledged the level of institutional support for the program, leadership of the program director, the dedication of the program faculty, modern facilities and a supportive Advisory Board.
      -April 2023 -updated assessment plan accepted.
