    Program Accredited by ABFSE to teach out Mt. Ida College Associate in Science degree program effective through September 1, 2020.

    May 2020 - Candidacy for Cape Cod Community College Funeral Service Associate Degree Program approved.
    Initial Accreditation 2021/Last comprehensive review 2020/Next comprehensive review 2023

      Most recent Accreditation decision:  April 2021 - Initial Accreditation granted for period of three years.
      -April 2022 - COA acknowledged updates to webpage, program handbook and assessment plan. Assessment plan requires attention to Standards 10.1.2c, 10.1.2d and 10.1.2e. Updates should be presented by February 15, 2023.
      -October 2022 - submitted application for approval to offer distance education subject to focus visit.
      -October 2023 - Distance education approved.

      Effective August 27, 2018, CAPE COD COMMUNITY COLLEGE was approved to teach out students enrolled in the now defunct Mount Ida College AS degree program. Transcripts for Mt. Ida graduates can be ordered online at
      http://www.umass.edu/registrar/mtida.

    Initial Accreditation 1997/Last comprehensive review 2019/Next comprehensive review 2025

      Re-accreditation: October 2019 for period of seven (7) years from previous review in 2018
      Most recent Accreditation decisions: October 2019 for period of seven (7) years with no stipulations. Important factors in the decision were the rapid response to suggestions of the site visit team, consistent student success on the national licensing examination, upgraded facilities since the last ABFSE visit and the opportunities for communication between all constituencies of the institution.
      -April 2022 - Substantive Change application to add Distance Education is received. Site visit will be scheduled.
      -May 2022 - completed site visit to confirm change in ownership structure.
      -October 2022 - Approved to offer the accredited program via Distance Education.
