    Program Accredited by ABFSE:  Associate in Science - Funeral Service

    Initial Accreditation 2003/Last comprehensive review 2021/Next comprehensive review 2028.

      Re-accreditation:  October 2021 current accreditation extend to April 2022 to address probation issues.

      Most recent Accreditation decisions:  October 2021 - Probation. Topics to be addressed for April 2022 include evidence of compliant curriculum distribution (Standard 5.4), evidence of compliant assessment efforts (Standard 10), consistent presentation of program and admissions information (Standard 9.1), and consistent use of case reports (Standard 5.4)
      -April 2022 - Probation issues satisfactorily addressed. Re-accreditation granted for a period of seven (7) years from last re-accreditation.
      In person site visit is required as follow-up to 2021 virtual visit.
      -October 2022 - Approved to offer the accredited program via Distance Education.
      -January 2023 - Satisfactory completion of in-person follow-up visit.

      Re-accreditation: May 2020 for period of 7 years
      Most recent Accreditation decision: May 2020 re-accreditation. Important factors in the decision were strong faculty leadership with supportive college administration and advisory board, a successful student-centered program, a high quality learning experience and a commitment to assessment, program planning, development and quality improvement.
      -October 2023 - Accepted application for delivery of the accredited program via distance education. Approval is subject to a focus visit.
